Labor Law amendments follow up committee meets Speaker of the House of Representatives
Labor Watch -  Labor Law amendments follow up committee met with Speaker of the House of Representatives Engineer Atef Tarawneh on follow up subject amendments.

Azzam Asmadi, Head of Independent Federation of Trade Unions said that the issue of Labor Law and its amendments ought to be debated to become reformative, as it relates to social security, in order to create a balanced relation between workers and employers. Asmadi demanded discussing all articles of the law.

It is worth mentioning however, that the meeting took place within activities of the National Campaign to amend labor legislations formed by the Independent Federation of Trade Unions aiming to introduce amendments to the Labor Law through the parliamentary committee based on the 2011 Constitutional amendments, in addition to the decision of the Constitutional Court which endorsed the formation of a trade union for workers in Government institutions.

The Labor Law amendments follow up committee comprises twelve public figures from civil society organizations and various labor leaderships.
