Workers in the Land Transportation Sector “Drivers”
Labor Watch - Public transport drivers' basic labour rights are being violated and they suffer from job insecurity, according to a report issued by a human rights advocacy group on Monday.
Prepared by the Phoenix Centre for Economic and Informatics Studies in cooperation with the German Friedrich-Ebert Stiftung office in Amman, the report compiled dozens of complaints from drivers of constant violations of their rights by their employers, whom they said take punitive measures against them when they demand just treatment.
