Decent Work in Jordan 2011
labor watch - A report issued by a human rights advocacy group on Saturday recommended that Jordan revise its labour policies and regulations in order to combat unemployment and protect workers' rights.
Titled "Decent Work in Jordan 2011" and issued by the Phoenix Centre for Economic and International Studies in cooperation with the German Friedrich-Ebert Stiftung office in Amman, the report aimed to analyse the state of "decent work" in the Kingdom both in the letter of the labour and Social Security Corporation (SSC) laws and other work-related regulations, as well as in the actual implementation of those regulations on the ground.
