Union of Workers in Air Transportation threatened one of its activists

2346371_copy_copyLabor Watch- Unionist from Royal Jordanian and the representative of one of Labour Committees; Mohammad Al-Shkhatrh threatened with death by the president of the General Trade Union of Workers in Air Transportation and Tourism.

"I threatened with death due to labour demands that I have been recently submitted to the Trade Union" Shkhatreh said.

Al-Shkhatrh said that the demands they are asking for represent in: increase salaries, improve health insurance for workers, change rotation system, increase airport bonus and shift, review family bonus beside increasing the salary of some workers categories with low wages. "Because of these demands the president of Trade Union threatened him with death during their meeting if he didn't back down" Al-Shkhatrh said.

Al-Shkhatrh has provided the case against the president for the prosecutor of Zarqa Court, and the prosecutor transfer the case to AlHassan Security Center to investigate with the president.

Furthermore, Labour committee issued statement deplores in it the president's behavior.
